Every Wordle Word So Far (Updated Daily)
Wordle is a fun word game that seems like the child Mastermind had with crosswords. The goal of Wordle is to find a random five-letter word in 6 tries. You do that by guessing each time what the missing word might be. After each guess, the colour of the tiles will change to show how close your guess was to the word.
If a letter turns green, then that letter is in the word and in the correct spot. If a letter turns yellow, it means that it is in the word but not in the correct spot, and if it turns black, the letter is not on the word at all.
The whole appeal of Wordle, and what differentiates it from other word games, is the fact that only one word is available each day.And you have surely seen by now the black, green and yellow boxes all over your social media feed. This is because when you find the correct word, you can share your Wordle solving thinking process with the world. For example this is mine from January 25th, 2022, when the word in question was SUGAR.
You can find this Wordle list in alphabetical order here.
You can also find a list that excludes today's wordle here.
I also have this list that is in both alphabetical order and excludes today's wordle.
Update on September 5th 2022: I have updated the list to reflect the Wordle number as shown on the New York Times counter. Up to this point I considered the first Wordle to be Wordle #1 and that's why my counter was 1 number up. From today onwards the first Wordle will be considered as Wordle #0.
Do you need a previous word list? Here's the list of EVERY SINGLE WORD that has appeared on Wordle so far updated daily around 8AM CET:
And here's a heatmap of all my tries!
I have a suggestion for the page: Could you kindly not reveal the new word before every time zone has had it's chance to try and solve it? For example it is now 00.54 in Phoenix AZ but in San Diego it is 23.54 and s new wordle game is published at 00.00.
ReplyDelete100%!!! I wanted to know if one of two words had been used before, and I found both words, one used in the past and one for the present day. Yes was at 6:45 AM my time.
DeleteADD THE MARGINAL WORD **AFTER** THE DAILY GAME HAS ECPIRED FOR EVERY TIME ZONE.
Unless you want more people TO IGNORE your website, of course.
I am so sorry I ruined it for you today. Did you use the alphabetical list that excludes today's wordle? Please let me know so I can make some necessary arrangements https://www.stadafa.com/2021/09/wordle-alphabetical-excluding.html
DeleteI agree. Do not reveal the current word until all time zones have expired. I had to quit using this site because you publish the current word too early.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
Hello. Thank you both for your suggestion. My intentions are of course not to spoil WORDLE for anyone, but rather to log every word. From today forwards I will try to hide the latest word until every time zone has passed.
ReplyDeleteThank you <3
DeleteYou have number 9 as 90.
ReplyDeleteNice catch! Fixed! (Even I can't login to comment. It has something to do with how Google handles cookies)
DeleteObviously, you have not done what people have asked you to do. In fact, you made it easier on the day of the word by just punching SHOW. We want to check on our words to find out if they have been used prior to the day the new word comes out. Honest people don't want to cheat so please keep the current word of the day hidden until the next day. You have a good thing here only if you wait till the next day to publish the word of the day.
ReplyDeleteHello, thank you for your feedback. Could you please be a little bit more specific because I think I am missing something.
DeleteAs I see it, I have the word of the day hidden. It's up to the individual if they will click "show" or not. Do you suggest I don't post it at all, or should I also hide the previous day as well, due to the time differences.
For example today on my CET timezone, it's Monday the 10th, thus I have revealed the previous wordle from the 9th, and I have entered the wordle of the 10th inside a spoiler tag.
1/30/23 -- there was no show option for 6:45 PST
DeleteToday's word was listed in alphabetical order like every other word. Maybe you didn't make this adjustment to you alphabetical list. However, that alphabetical list is the most efficient way to look up what words have been used already.
Yes, keep the current day's word off thr alphabetical list until all time zones have completed the game.
Thanks.
I am so sorry I ruined it for you today. Did you use the alphabetical list that excludes today's wordle? Please let me know so I can make some necessary arrangements https://www.stadafa.com/2021/09/wordle-alphabetical-excluding.html
DeleteThere are plenty of services out there that provide the Wordle word of the day. You don't need to do the same thing. You provide a great service for us to see if the particular word or words we are trying to solve the Word of the day have already been used. Make it easier for us to search your word list for the word or words by putting a "search" box for the words we are trying insted of a SHOW box to tell us the Word of the day. I hit it by accident yesterday and it ruined my day.
ReplyDeleteHm, I understand your frustration. You can search inside the article by clicking Command+F on a Mac, or Control+F on Windows. This will only search through the past words, since today's lies still behind the spoiler tag. That only works on the Chronological list though, as I don't use a spoiler tag on the Alphabetical list.
DeleteMy browser's find command actually finds the word hidden behind the spoiler. Try it and see. It doesn't reveal it, but rather than show 0 hits for the word on the page, it will show 1.
DeleteOh, I see why that would be an issue. I am using Safari and the search command doesn't find the hidden one. I guess I can make a new page and not post today's wordle here. I will update the post with the new links.
DeleteDone! You can find the new list here: https://www.stadafa.com/2021/09/every-wordle-world-so-far-excluding.html
DeleteThank you for your efforts. They are appreciated!
DeleteYou are welcome! Let me know if you have any other suggestions!
DeleteHello again!
ReplyDeleteYour page is a life saver when pondering whether the word has been used.
Now I'm only wondering where is 506?
Thank you for your patience and your time consuming work updating the page every day!
Hello! Good catch! I have updated the list!
Deletecan u make a new wordle game that u can play whever u want?
DeleteThis isn't mine but you can play all previous words on Wordle Archive https://wordlearchive.com
DeleteA fun little thing I do relates Wordle to golf. I consider solving each day in 4 tries to be 'par'. Three tries is a birdie, five tries is a bogey and so on. For my record, I'm 3 under par after 282 holes. How are you doing?
ReplyDeleteWhen I first started playing and didn't have "starter words", solving Wordle in 3 tries wasn't that rare. Case in point, I had more birdies than bogies, but also risked not solving it at all and loosing my streak, because I wouldn't eliminate many letters. Now, I basically start with 3 "start words", unless I have found many letters with my first words and my guess average is 4,428 if we exclude the failed attempts. My record is a two, after 315 tries, but I am still hopeful for the prestigious 1, as my starter word hasn't been used as a Wordle yet!
DeleteWhat are your starter words
DeleteHello! My starter word is AFTER, followed by either SILKY or POUCH. What about yours?
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteHi! Thanks for doing this list! Just FYI, you have 583 listed twice.
ReplyDeleteOops! Thank you for letting me know!
DeleteThe first Wordle word was not #0 ... It was #1. You should update your numbers to reflect the correct puzzle #. Today's word (January 25, 2023) clearly shows Wordle 585. Your numbers are 1 off.
ReplyDeleteThe first Wordle was indeed #0. I had #583 listed twice, that's why January 25th's Wordle was wrong. Thank's for noticing!
DeleteCongratulations on overcoming your previous best streak!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Now every day I play my heart skips a bit! What's your streak like?
DeleteSorry to see your great streak finish : (
ReplyDeleteIt was good while it lasted I guess! Here's my Green Tragedy:

I think one of the problems with streak is that they can be broken by words with like above where you might have 15 possibilities after your 3 play. Yes there was such a combination. At that point it would be only pure luck to get the correct word. Obviously not as difficult as getting the word on the first try, but frustrating enough for me, that when the word had more than 5 possibilities I tossed it out. By the way, I started keeping track when I got my first and only "one" try. Made me think I was pretty good. I stopped keeping track when my average was: 3.873913. I had it down to just under 3.75 at one point, but that was the best I every had. I only had a single fail using the more than 5 possibilities method. Guessing I had maybe 8-10 fails otherwise. Pretty easy to loose a streak going when one of those words comes up. Take UGH. 21 possibilities. And OUGH. 9 possibilities!
ReplyDeleteJust pure luck at that point.
maintain a average of between 3.7 and 3.8 tries after playing about 300 games. I found at that point that it was impossible to have much impact on my average. Getting three 2s in succession would only raise my average by .01, so I stopped keeping track. I created a spreadsheet that kept track of my daily words and my average tries per word. I don't believe all of the state and international averages. They come from what people post on different social platforms.
You sure put a lot of effort into this blog. I used your "all words used" to create my own spreadsheet of word all listed in columns and in order.
Thank you for your thorough comment! I never had a "one" so far, but I use a specific word as my starter, so it's a matter of time before I get it. When I started my average was lower, threes were quite usual, but also my streaks were shorter as well. Now that I have a starter word and two reconnaissance words (in case one of them comes up empty), my average is a measly 4.29.
DeleteThe idea of not counting words that contain UGH and OUGH came to me from one of the Star Trek movies. The Kobayashi Maru test was designed to be impossible to be find a correct solution. In Wordle, while all words can be found, some have so many possibilities and so few try, they are in there to make you fail. Well not really. I don't think the creators of Wordle gave that potential much thought. To me it was a matter of wanting a true average based on a realistic possibility of finding the correct solution. Luck should not come into play any more than statistical probabilities. I think there are over 2000 words available, so the odds of getting it in one try are ridiculous...eve two is very lucky and three somewhat lucky.
ReplyDeleteAnother problem is that you will never know your true average because the game limits your tries to six, while with some words it might take 10 or 12 tries. Since I have tossed out my fails where the word has more than 5 possibilities, there is a good chance my average would be about the same as yours. So 4.29 probably is pretty good and your devotion to the game is unreal.
Thank you!
DeleteYou have 3th try for game 653.
DeleteFixed!
DeleteWhen there are many viable options, I use an "elimination" word to reduce the number (or even find the correct answer) eg if word is _OUGH, the first letter could be B, C, D, R, S or T. So I could try CARTS or DARTS or BARDS and see which letter comes up yellow (or green). After one or, at most, 2 elimination guesses I will know what the solution is for that day.
ReplyDeleteGreat strategy! I do something similar as well!
DeleteThanks for compiling the data. The problem with searching for vowels (hard mode) is that you will get locked down one of the "stovepipes" where you can only try another word with the same GG's pattern. To avoid that start early on consonants. For the 5 vowels (+y) there are 20 consonants 4:1. A start word with 1 vowel is key.
ReplyDeleteFor choosing the next guess the method of entropy shown in the 3B1B video works consistently. For all possible start words there is one word which fails only 2 times (when solution changes) in one stovepipe. It has one vowel. To score a miss I assume solving on the 7th row counts as a 7, 8th row as an 8. Most start words will take 7 guesses, very few take 8. No word takes 9 guesses.
Thank you for your input! I admire those playing Wordle in Hard Mode but it is something I can't do myself as I find it both challenging and stressful. I'm also usually short on time in the morning and Hard Mode would seriously complicate things!
Delete8thJune 2023 word is crumb
ReplyDeleteTHANKS SO MUCH! YOU JUST SPOILED IT FOR ME!
DeleteHe blocks the answer so we can search the list to avoid reusing previous answers.
Sorry for spoiling it for you. I’m in Australia and wanted to show the mistake ie ‘crumb’ not ‘cramb’.
DeleteThank you for pointing the mistake out. It's fixed now. You can also reach me at my email: wordle (at) stadafa (dot) com if you want to point out any future mistakes so we can avoid getting words spoiled. I realise this is my wrongdoing at the end of the day. As I commented on others, I have my glasses at the optician's for new lenses and it's been a bit of a challenge to solve and post the Wordle answer for the past week. Hopefully today I'm getting them back.
DeleteYou have an error today. The word is not crAmb as you listed but crUmb. Maybe a typo?
ReplyDeleteMy mistake. It's fixed now. I have my glasses at the optician's for new lenses and it's been a bit of a challenge to solve and post the Wordle answer for the past week. Hopefully today I'm getting them back.
DeleteYou put "CRAMB" as your word for today (6/8/2023). That's not a word. I typed "crumb" in the find box and it only showed up in the comments. I went with it anyway and that was my word for today. So either yours is different than mine, or it's a typo.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry for your experience. It's fixed now. I have my glasses at the optician's for new lenses and it's been a bit of a challenge to solve and post the Wordle answer for the past week. Hopefully today I'm getting them back.
DeleteI'm on the same streak # as you. Or at least I was because yours is 1083 days now. Wow! Hey, seriously, thank you for this site. It's very much appreciated!!
ReplyDeleteOops! Fixed! Thank you for pointing it out!
DeleteThat's weird, normally I match you on the daily word. But today we have completely different words. My word for today was "CRIME". Any idea why they would be different?
ReplyDeleteNever mind, just noticed your word was from yesterday (which I didn't get around to doing).
Delete:)
DeleteSorry you lost your streak. Thanks for your efforts here.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteSorry to see your streak got busted! 135 is pretty impressive though!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThank you! Going for 200 now!
DeleteJust FYI you forgot to list 779 ( BROOK )
ReplyDeleteThank you for noticing! Fixed!
DeleteJust a minor detail and it was probably just a typo but when it’s 3 tries it’s 3rd not 3th. You also did that for 793. Before that you had it right. Great list. Thanks for making it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for noticing! This happens because I use an excel sheet that makes the solution to HTML format so I can copy and paste it effortlessly every morning. Sometimes I just forget to correct it!
DeleteHey man, are you all right?
DeleteHi, just fyi, the numbering goes from 828 to 830, there is no 829.
ReplyDeleteMy bad! I have added now re-added 829. Thank you for letting me know!
Deleteis there a way that i can get a list in list format without the dates and numbers just raw?
ReplyDeleteI can arrange that. Would you like it to be in alphabetical order?
DeleteHi, great list. But why are there 2 entries for day 865?
ReplyDeleteThanks for noticing! Fixed!
Deletehow is your day?
ReplyDeleteGoing great so far! How about yours?
DeleteJust FYI, your numbering went from 889 to 900.
ReplyDeleteThanks for noticing! Fixed!
DeleteCongratulations on beating your old best streak!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Hope it lasts!
DeleteCONGRATULATIONS - A ‘hole in one’ - amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!! Wish you the same!
Deletemy first time ever coming here (to check if my starter word had been used before) and its the day of your 1. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteNice timing! Thank you!
DeleteCongratulations on your 1/6!!! Impressive result!! I'm still waiting for mine.
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's only a matter of time!
DeleteCongratulations on your 1. Someday mine will come up.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I hope you get your Wordle-in-1 soon!
DeleteGood job
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteDo you use a different start word each day? I’m wondering if I should change my strategy. Three 2s in six days is great!
ReplyDeleteHello! I am using the same starter word since February 8!
DeleteThanks for this list - it's great! But I noticed there are 2 entries for day 1055.
ReplyDeleteThank you for pointing that out! Fixed!

good luck streak pal!
Hello! That damned PIPER! Good luck with your wordle-in-1! I had mine back in February after more than a year of using the same starter!
DeleteI'm so sorry you lost your streak on that ridiculous Jiffy πππ
ReplyDeleteI was between Hippy and Jiffy, and I went with what I considered to be the safest option. The Wordle Gods were not on my side :P
DeleteAwesome list, thanks! But I noticed you have listed day "1224" instead of "1124".
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome! Good catch! Fixed!
DeleteI lost my streak on awash πππ I was between abash and awash on the 6th guess and decided to go alphabetical π still mad at that π too many words end in ash haha
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that! It's like NYT is deliberately picking words that will make us lose!!! π
DeleteGreat site but answer was showing today.
ReplyDeleteI noticed the same thing yesterday. Today too.
DeleteThank you for letting me know! I did some changes because some elements didn't show up correctly and I might have broken it then. I believe I have corrected it now. I hope I didn't spoil it for you!
DeleteYes agreed - today the search showed the answer when I know it used to work. Thank you for this site! Just wanted to give a heads up!
ReplyDeleteThank you for letting me know! I did some changes because some elements didn't show up correctly and I might have broken it then. I believe I have corrected it now. I hope I didn't spoil it for you!
DeleteThank you again for keeping up this page. This is my goto page always before trying my guesses on wordle. Today I didn't need it though. Guess why? Got it on first attempt π₯³ Today's word was my most used starter since ocean.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Kirsikka! So your rate of Wordle-in-1s' is about once a year! I feel like my second one is close!
DeleteI lost my 3 month streak on today's word ππ
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear!
DeleteFailed 11th Oct after failing 8th Octπππ im gonna try my best to start anew and not lose my streak again haha. Today (12th Oct,I'm in Scotland) I got it in 2 so good start of new streak π
ReplyDeleteI almost failed 1210 as well! It's better to lose a small streak though! Good luck!
Deletewomp is a good word
ReplyDeleteYou need one more letter!
DeleteBoxer ruined my streak ππ
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear! For some reason this week the folks at NYT have decided they want to break our streaks!
DeleteThey really did π π Been having so many 5s and 6s
DeleteWhew, two close calls for you lately. Glad to see the streak is still alive! Less than a month until a new record.
ReplyDeleteIt’s nerve wracking, and today I also got a Wordle-in-6! On my last try there were 3 possible options, 2 of them not used before, so now it comes down to sheer luck!
DeleteWhen I started wordle, 600+ words ago, I reviewed various databases developed by lexicon researchers and made my own letter frequencies' chart. I reviewed your letter frequency chart as of 25 march 2024, word 1010, "sally", a nice military term I recognized and got after my second clue word, I had 1 posted letter "s" (green) and 2 yellow letters, used my 2 first rules, look for repeated letters and fill in with the letters in the next clue word.
ReplyDeleteWhen I compared my clue words, I have 5 from my previous research, with your letter frequeny chart I got the same frequencies percentages as those I calulated from a 16,000 5 letter words database developed and researched by a lexiconer working on an inclusive 97,000 english word base.
Thank you for publishing your frequency chart. My clue words allow for elimation of 20 letters (96% of all letter spaces for 5 letter words) leaving f, v, z, j, x, & q to pick from, useful knowledge when it came to a recent word, "affix". These clues help me stay at the 99% success.
kld,
Also words that contain s, a, r, & e, all letters in fist clue, should be banned, "stare & share" in the last week, one can run out of chances even with defined clues and rules!
Thank you for your comment kld! I have just updated the frequency list!
DeleteA mistake in your (much appreciated) Wordle List for today. You got your word in 5 tries, but I got 5 greens on my 3rd try for a (not so very) different word.
ReplyDeleteThanks for noticing so fast! I mistakenly entered my 4th try instead of the solution! Fixed now!
DeleteCongratulations on your new record streak! Keep it up and take it to the moon!
ReplyDeleteThank you! π
DeleteIn $1313, you probably put your 3rd try as the solution.
ReplyDeleteGuilty as charged! I have corrected it now! Thanks for noticing!
DeleteToday, Jan 22, 2025 you have the wrong answer for the Wordle.
ReplyDeleteI entered my 3rd guess by mistake! Thanks for noticing!
Delete1313 answer is incorrect...
ReplyDeleteIndeed. Corrected now!
DeleteHope you're doing okay! I noticed the 8th Feb word isn't up yet π
ReplyDeleteHello Ash! I had a busy schedule yesterday morning and then I totally forgot it. I am in Europe but luckily in Los Angeles it was still February 8, so I just moved my iPhones time zone there, and I was able to complete the Wordle! Now both Feb 8 and 9 are up.
DeleteThank you for noticing!
I came here to congratulate you on the 250 win streak, and then I see March 20th has ended it. :(
ReplyDeleteHello! Haha, unfortunately my longest streak so far came to an end.
DeleteI had all but the first letter on my second try, and the solution was the least likely guess in my opinion. Let's hope that I will pass the 250 mark at the end of November!

Wow, even with taste and waste eliminated, you ran out of rope?
DeleteYep! My guesses were ARISE>PASTE>TASTE>WASTE>HASTE>CASTE
DeleteI reckoned CASTE would be a more probable solution than BASTE. And it kicked me in the back!
TASTE and WASTE are already on your page. Do you not reference your list before guessing?
DeleteYour page saved me on BASTE day!
That hurts even more now! I hadn’t noticed. I usually do check my list, but I was in a hurry that day and I did not. π«
DeleteEven without noticing that TASTE and WASTE were already gone, you could have played an eliminating word on try 5, in this case BEACH.
DeleteA lot of mistakes were made that day. Having said that, I am playing in hard mode, so I couldn't play an eliminating word.
DeleteI'm so sorry about your streak πππ
ReplyDeleteI appreciate that Ash! It was my longest streak so far, so now I have something to strive for!
Delete08/04/25 Your’e current streak is 19. Great site btw.
ReplyDeleteFixed! Thanks for noticing and thank you for using my list(s)! Let me know if you have any thoughts or suggestions about them!
DeleteLooks like we're both starting a streak anew πππ Today's wordle destroyed so many people's streaks!
ReplyDeleteThe NYT average according to wordlebot was 5.6! A streakbreaker for sure!
DeleteAlmost a 50% X/6 rate. That's the highest I've ever seen reported on Wordlebot.
DeleteI got very lucky and got a 2/6 on that one. I was shocked when I saw how high the miss rate was.
There's just so many XAXER words π
DeleteIndeed! I'm thankful for Stadafa's list so I can avoid wasting repeat guesses. Now that we're well past halfway through the full Wordle list, a lot of my first instinct guesses show up on this page, so I have to think longer to come up with something new.
Delete@Ash, 34 XAXER words that haven’t been played so far!
Delete506. BEGIN - 9 November 2022 ... Should be on November 7, not 9.
ReplyDeleteGreat catch. I have no idea how that happened. Fixed now!
DeleteToday's was so horrible πππ Why they going with such obscure words, I thought they weren't allowed to π΅
ReplyDeleteI know, right?! That word was added to the possible solutions list very recently, so I didn't even consider it as a possibility.
DeleteRIP the SDF streak again. :(
DeleteAt least it was a 2 digit streak, so it didn't hurt as much!
DeleteHi, just wanted to give a heads up — the last two days have had the word revealed without a click to reveal button. And searching for a word also highlights the current word (which I know it used to exclude). Thanks for this site.. love it as a resource!
ReplyDeleteMy bad. I removed all the spaces while I was trying to update something and I broke it. It should work now. Sorry for that!
DeleteYou misspelled your solution today or gave an earlier try.
ReplyDeleteMy bad! Fixed!
DeleteWeird. I have this site bookmarked, and just noticed that the URL contains "worlde" instead of "wordle". :-)
ReplyDeleteHahaha, I just noticed it too! π€«
DeleteNot the word I got 5 greens for, today. (August 22.)
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry! Fixed! Once again I used my penultimate word. I don’t know why some words get stuck to me!
DeleteOmg I just got a 1 π²π²π² (it's after midnight so 6th Sept here). I never imagined I would ever get a 1 because since I started doing Wordle 3.5 years ago, I've started every day with a different word (I have a list and keep track) so the likelihood is like impossibly low when you don't start every day with the same word. I can't believe it!
ReplyDeleteWow! Congratulations! And what a word to have a Wordle-in-1!
DeleteThe likelihood of a 1 is the same whether you always use the same word or always a different one. Or whatever. (Provided you do not repeat a solution.)
DeleteFritz lost me my 136 day streak π π I did not know this word haha
ReplyDeleteOh, sorry to hear this! It's been close for me too the past few days!
DeleteThank you! I appreciate the simple formatting so it can be copied and pasted into a text file.
ReplyDeleteYou are always welcome! Let me know if you have any thoughts or suggestions about this page!
DeleteI don't think it's fair of them to allow a word such as lathe π΅π΅ It's a niche industry specific word, ugh. I didn't get it, at the end I was so confident in latte and latke...
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear this Ash! Seems like Wordle I becoming harder and harder
DeleteCongratulations for today solving in one go
ReplyDeleteCongratulations for today solving in one go

Delete24-1-26: got 5 greens for a different word
ReplyDeleteMy bad! I mistakenly entered my 3rd guess instead of the solution. Fixed now.
DeleteHello - am confused by your word today as it’s not BLING ?!
ReplyDeleteNo, it's not. I'll give it here tomorrow.
DeleteThat's on me. I entered my penultimate guess instead of the solution. I have fixed it now.
DeleteOmg what are they doing, are they repeating wordles??? Did they announce anywhere they were gonna start doing that?
ReplyDeleteI saw it on the wordle review page yesterday. I hate it π
DeleteIn itself a good idea, not to exclude previous solutions. But if they are going to be repeated in the same order: bad idea. We will see tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWhy did wordle repeat the word CIGAR ( Wordle word #0, and today 2/2/26 )
ReplyDeleteI've found articles that wordle have announced they are introducing words that have already been. Messes with my system of always starting with a new word that hasn't been yet but oh well...I guess we'll have to get used to it
DeleteHello! The New York Times has announced that starting February 2nd 2026, it’s reintroducing previously used answers into the rotation. New words will still appear, but past solutions can show up again. The main reason is that they want to reuse some words on specific holidays etc.
DeleteSo, yesterday was national cigar day?
DeleteNational CIgar Day is Feb 27th, so they jumped the gun.
Delete(I realize it was a joke, but I had to check:
https://www.famous-smoke.com/cigaradvisor/cigar-lifestyle/national-cigar-day )
Hello! February 2nd wasn't indeed national cigar day but it was Groundhog Day, and that is why the Wordle number 0 was repeated!
DeleteCello lost me my streak cause i thought of hello and jello first π
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that! Was it a long streak?
DeleteI actually don't know how long my streak was cause a while ago it stopped showing me my stats without making a nyt account and I don't wanna have to make an account π but I screenshot and save all my wordless so I could go into my folder and count my streak but I havent yet. Did get today's wordle in 2 though so that makes up for yesterday!
DeleteHaha noted! Nice!
DeleteYuck. I don't like that they're repeating words already.
ReplyDelete
